The sitemap, and what sits on every page

Every page in the site, its URL, the template it is built from, the blocks it carries, and where it links. Each page owns one primary keyword, and works its secondary terms through its sections. The blocks come from the page type matrix, so nothing here is invented per page: it is the same library, selected differently.

All pages at a glance

Every page in the site, its URL, the template it is built from, where it sits in navigation, the blocks it carries and where it links. Conditional pages are only built when the client has that thing.

21 pages at full build, plus one Location page per site where the brand is multi-location, and two external patches (Careers → the client’s hiring platform, Shop → their storefront). A lean first build is the 10 core pages plus the legal set; conditional pages switch on as the client has the content for them. Community’s Resource Library, Guides and Events are in-page sections, not pages.

Primary navigation

Six items. Team has moved under About, since a top-level slot should belong to a page people search for or buy from, and Team is a trust page rather than a conversion page. The exception is a business where the people are the product, such as therapy, coaching or a named practice: there, Team earns the top level.

Pages reached from the footer, not the bar

Lower-intent pages that still need to exist. Keeping them out of the top bar protects the nav for the pages that convert, while the footer keeps them crawlable and one click away from every page.

Footer structure

Identical on every page. The newsletter strip sits above the columns as a capture point that does not interrupt the page, and the baseline carries the local search signal.

Baseline: © [Year] [Brand] · [Locations] · [Contact], with the full address on the Contact page. Consistent name, address and phone across the web is what local search scores. When a brand will not publish a street address, the footer carries city or region only and the Contact page carries the full details with local business schema and a Google Business Profile. The signal is kept without putting the address on every page.
05

Internal linking

Internal links let people move without hunting through the menu, let search engines crawl and understand the structure, and push authority toward the pages that convert. Linking is built in as a rule, not added at the end.

Two out, one in
Every page links out to at least two others and is linked to from at least one. No page is an island and no page is a dead end.
Links live in the copy
Inside body sentences where they read naturally, rather than bolted on as a list at the end.
Anchor text
Describes the destination in the destination's own words, using its keyword. Never "click here" or "read more".
Authority flows to money pages
Offer pages receive more links than they give. Articles and story pages feed them.
Breadcrumbs
Every interior page carries one. Orientation for the visitor, hierarchy for the crawler.
Blog to offer
Every article links to the offer page that matches its keyword. This is how search traffic becomes enquiries.
06

Meta, keywords and linking

One page, one primary keyword — mapped to the meta title, the H1, the URL slug and the meta description, with secondary and related terms carried by the H2s, H3s and FAQs. The page-by-page detail lives in the Meta Recommendations spreadsheet, one row per page, because it is keyword-led and built after research rather than fixed at plan stage.

The spreadsheet carries, for every page: meta title and description, H1, H2 and H4, primary and secondary keyword, anchor texts, on-page anchor links, internal links in and out, the interlinking rule for that page, searchable and practical FAQs, local SEO notes and redirects.
